WINTER ON THE CONTACT LINE IN UKRAINE

In February 2018, Sadak Souici, photographer, travelled to Ukraine for Première Urgence Internationale to witness the living conditions of the people in the east of the country, near the contact line.

FREEZING TEMPERATURES ON THE CONTACT LINE

The bitter cold and snow do not deter people from crossing the front of line between the non-government controlled areas and that controlled by the Ukrainian government. Some Ukrainians wait patiently for more than eight hours to do this.

TESTIMONY FROM DONETSK

In Donetsk, residents are enduring a conflict which has had a direct impact on their health. At the hospital in Toretsk, Sadak met patients who shared their plight.

In this slideshow, Sadak, back from Ukraine comments on some of his photos.
